My name is Eric Eugene Charest. I’m a Traverse City man, born and raised. I got my start painting here in ‘87, but in 1988, I took my skills to Los Angeles. I learned the trade working for the "Painter to the Stars," and for years I painted some of the most famous homes in the country. I did work for Hugh Hefner, Johnny Depp, Michael Keaton, and Gary Busey. I restored Marilyn Monroe's house in Brentwood and painted Bela Lugosi's Hollywood castle. I even painted the legendary Whiskey a Go Go on the Sunset Strip. After decades of learning on the biggest jobs, I brought that experience back home to Northern Michigan. I've been a licensed contractor since 1994, and I've painted thousands of homes and businesses since. Whether it’s a mansion in Malibu or a cottage on the lake, the job gets done right. Simple as that.
